Farm Field Trip

Today we went to Dewberry Farms with our playgroup.  Both kids did well but even though it was only 80 degrees, it was sunny and bright with no cloud cover.  So it was hot.  We got to see the animals in the barn, play with tractors, run around the pumpkin patch, ride the cow train/tractor pull ride, then eat our sack lunch in the pavilion.  If the kids, and mostly me, weren't so tired, we could have stayed and played on some of the other big activities, but after a couple of hours in the sun, we were all ready to go home.  Plus, Levi was bitten by an ant or two on his hand, and it swelled up big time.  I wanted to get home and get him some ibuprofen and Benadryl.  Levi and bug bites don't mix well, we have discovered.

Our friends Erica and Emma joined us.  Emma was a big help holding Levi's hand and leading him around.  She is going to be such a good big sister here in a few months!

Levi was snorting at the pigs.

Mom, according to the map, there is a snow cone stand not far from here.

Just hanging out on this rope thing.

Having fun on the big boy swing.

Emma wanted to hold Mattie, and feed her, and of course get her picture taken with her!

Levi was not the most cooperative today for pictures.  He also didn't sleep well last night so he was tired. (which means the same applies to me)

Levi enjoyed riding the cow train.

Emma was behind us, riding all by herself!
